Oh dear that is going to upset a few people that thought they were onto a nice little earner, it does make sense though to me. Were it to be a classic car with a heart transplant a totally different idea, not necessarily a good one from my perspective but if it enables some of the older cars to keep running so be it.

I read that JLR have stopped any potential production of the electric E Type as it will not be classified as an historic vehicle but rather as a brand new car with all the restraints that would bring so I assume the same will apply to the EV MGB.
And all the tax implications that follow ....

Interesting thinking on the E Type being registered as a new car...? From the reg plates on the Porsche and the Beetle in the link below it seems both are registered as pre 1972 and not as new vehicles..?
Customer rang me on Friday from a hotel - having coffee while his Tesla was on charge. He uses it to travel all over Europe on business - saves loads on fuel and seems to have the range anxiety issue cracked.

You maybe missed Shooters report on his Tesla usage in Europe, he's on his second car now and the charging of these cars just seems to need a little management very viable. He does a very high annual mileage. His financial breakdown was a glowing report compared to an ICE.

No excuse for us all now , sell/trade in the co2 producing everyday car and get a Tesla .

Sorry went to post the link electric 911 link but it was one of the long ones that seems to annoy some here..
If interested in electric classics it you enter "fully charged electric Porsche 911" into your search engine you will stumble across the vid I mentioned. From a dull memory in the UK car registration plates for all new cars from 1972 (?) on ad to have reflective backgrounds thus it would seem both the 911 and Beetle were not registered as "new" when converted to electric operation..?

Long url links are annoying because if viewed in a browser that doesn't automatically condense the link, they end up stretching the window requiring sideways scrolling to be able to read, which is not always easy when using a mobile device.
It is trivially easy to avoid the problem, simply insert a proper html url link by using the button on the toolbar of the full edit screen (the one that looks like a globe with a chain link). Paste your url in first, then a short description, then you end up with something that looks like this:
Anyone else read this after a claim last week that electric was the No3 best seller This really does make a nonsense of it all going green and clean when all the customer wants is the latest van with windows.
