I'd suggest looking at some of the other 3 wheeler kits. I quite like the Pembleton for example! But otherwise good luck!

Intriguing project...I’m really looking forward to seeing some progress photos in time!

This is the correct answer;

John, Thanks for posting the pics!

Here are some pics of the parts acquired so far. The bearings for the intermediate housing and transfer case are ordered already as well.

I have looked at the Pembleton as well as many others. I can't stand the ones that someone just hacked the front off a bike and put a pair of wheels and seat on it. I love the look of the Pembleton but it uses FWD and a VW transaxle and just about all the other ones I have seen (that utilize a Motorcycle engine) are using the bikes transmission and either no reverse or some add on system. I wanted a true 5 speed and a robust drive line. It will take more effort initially but I feel it will be worth it in the end.

Hi Rob.
Do you think the Paralever housing is strong enough for your project.In the sidecar world not everybody is convinced.On my BMW K1100 RS with EML Speed 2000 sidecar the Paralever is replaced by a steel substitude.

No, I am not really concerned with the paralever housing, I have not heard of any failures of that system. where did you find an alternative? I assume the K series paralever is different from the R series.
