Yes Planenut, I read about this issue. Thanks for the warning. If changing the quick release system was simple, I'll do it right away. But as MMC installs this Traven specific QR, which is coupled with the steering column, to change the QR we need to change the steering column. And these are major words…

Meanwhile, despite few had this issue of the QR misplaced, I'll take extreme care with it and while removing and reinserting the steering wheel. If I see, with practice, that getting in and out the 3 wheeler can be done easy without removing the steering wheel, I might re-think about fixing the safety bolt again. But right now, despite I can enter and quit the vehicle with the steering wheel on, removing it makes things so much easier for a guy my size!

Maybe... but the Lifeline QR is avaible in internet (Amazon, eBay, etc.).

The "new" QR equipped in our new M3W is a Traven one, and this specific QR is imposible (at least for me) to find in the internet. So I asked my dealer who asked MMC. And they replied "Unavailable"??!!!?? Can't be real... I still don't believe this answer!

Your link is to the Lifeline QR, as fitted to the pre April 2017 M3W. Marmota has a new M3W with a Traven QR. The splines on the steering column for a Traven QR are not compatible with the Lifeline item, they are not interchangeable. You can buy the Lifeline item via ebay and several other outlets. I suspect that the Traven QR, like many bespoke M3W items, is only available through Morgan, if they chose to supply it, which it seems they will not at the moment. Excellent customer service.

Apparently the Travern release is not available separately but if you buy a wheel from MMC will they fit one to the wheel and sell it as a package?
