For us its Smith Haute Lafite 04, with the turkey.... not yet though.
Got to get through a bottle of white with the starter.... hic!

It’s the trouble with recipes for cooking turkey- they typically all for a small amount of white wine- this leaves one with the requirement to drink the remainder of the bottle before imbibing ones favourite red - just, of course to avoid waste!!!!!!!!

I use good, but cheap light red instead or white.
This is a white wine free zone...
But you are right, white or red, it has to be drunk.....

Didn't you give it up Peter?? For 3 weeks, yes. Caroline is off for good, she can't stand the smell but is relaxed about me drinking. So concluded that I like red wine and will drink it over the holidays when others are drinking. January 6th I'm dry Sunday 11pm to Friday 6pm.
