Perhaps hiring one for a day would let you see if its really for you. If you are the sort of driver who only lifts the bonnet when a warning light tells you the washer bottle needs filling you will probably not get on with it long term. The hassle of going to collect it/uncover it may mean you will find reasons not to use if not totally sold. Looking after it is a bit more involved than most modern cars, its 3000 mile service intervals. Just removing the cowl to check the oil level is fiddly, its on your knees to check the rear tyre pressure. On the plus side you will never have to fill the washer bottle.
