Just to resurrect an old thread, what was the cause of your headlight failure - mine went again today (18 months since the last time) i dont know if its connected but I keep burning out indicator fuses too.

I'd be grateful of a link to a supplier of dolomite indicator stalks in the north east - I has hoping to blat over the n york moors this week on my way to harrogate, looks like I'll be taking the subaru!

You could try Rimmer Bros - although they are not in the NE.

There seeem to be two types - the only difference seems to be the electrical termination.

I have this issue on my 95 +4. No main or dipped beam. Fuesss ok. Tried spare column stalk but still doesn't work but maybe that is faulty.

Anyone know where the esrthing point of the headlights is?

I checked the back of the switch the block connector has melted a bit so not a good sign. Maybe a faulty stalk then?

If you haven't got relays for the headlamps and are running the entire headlamp current through the column switch it's highly likely you will burn out the contacts, and the switch is not repairable.

I managed to get through 2 column switches before I learned this lesson. Since fitting relays, everything has been fine.
