I have a lot of American friends and acquaintances, perhaps unsurprisingly their opinion of Trump is split. There doesn’t seem to be any middle ground, they either hate him with a passion and think he’s an embarrassment or think he’s the greatest thing ever to happen for America. I must say though that a lot more loathe him than love him, but maybe that’s just my particular group of friends and acquaintances. I won’t give my views of him on here for fear of upsetting any TM Trump supporters

I agree that DT has polarised US politics. In the USA I have friends who think he is exactly what the USA needs, and others who believe he is the worst President since Nixon. The only safe position to take is to express no knowledge of US politics.
As others have said, I shall refrain from comment: he isn't my President, I can't vote for, or against, him so my opinions are pointless.

Whilst a few do not wish to give their opinion for one reason or another I think we should all be very concerned. Recent events have shown that he single handedly has the capacity to expose us all to danger and bring us all to the brink of of a serious conflict. The situation is bad enough as it is with various countries and factions struggling to dominate others and those that that see it an appropriate response to sponsor terrorism.

As an American who voted for Hilary and not Trump I have been confused. I was not too happy to vote for Hilary. But I did not have much choice. Trump offended Me from the get go and still does. My first choice would be to get a Republican I can vote for. My second choice is to find a Democrat that has a chance to beat Trump.
