Thanks Tim. We plan to go again to the West coast. The scenery is stunning. Well I can certainly recommend the Glenfinnan House Hotel, very friendly, great food, and a lovely setting at the head of Loch Shiel. The Nissen hut (where hire/demo cars were stored) has been demolished. Well, at least it isn't a Nissan hut.

Thanks Les and John re the Windermere rec. that’s precisely what we’re looking at-her Ladyship read the article in Miscellany fairly recently and she loved the idea of it 👍👍👍.
Will find some contact details from the magazine (when I can find it in the Christmas detritus). Unless (I realise utterly utterly lazy and cheeky on my part) one of the marvellous Fellmog people involved in the organisation happen to post on here and I can PM them? 😇

My good lady and experienced a very enjoyable Lakeland weekend in 2003 organised by the FellMoggers, driving over Hardknot pass in a convoy of Mogs was interesting indeed. Further to that my old Mog won a 1st in class Concours trophy, Much to Colin`s chagrin...(-: Only kidding Colin.. Winning the trophy was down to Kevin`s workmanship as I had only owned the old thing for just over a year and offered to send the trophy to Kevin, nice chap that he is he said it should stay with the car... Happy days.. Must have a pic or two somewhere..?
BTW Richard, what`s with the Micra negativity... I once attended a Porsche weekend many years back on Sky in my good lady`s Micra...though admittedly I did not park it anywhere in the line up ...(-:
