I managed to knock off two wiper end caps while cleaning the car today. I found one amongst the gravel but decided it was time to come up with something better. Here is my second attempt compared to the standard item. The idea was to make them longer so they didn't twist off so easily. I'll see how they stay on and I may make the end less domed.

I also look forward for your construction or idea.

In the moment I'm lucky only lost the half of the caps, and no risk to loose more in cause my Morgan is in hipernation.

Just written the words, but than I've got an idea.

Shimano uses for some brakepads (on rimbrakes) really small splines. 1mm or less. Usuall it's for the toprange parts like
DuraAce or something of the top v-brakes.

May it's possible to drill small holes in the caps (and matching holes) in the wipers. Than you can carefully secure the
caps.

I cut down Europaspares 10" blades and just file the ends round and smooth.

I've used black Sugru mouldable rubber with great success.

What is the point of the caps? If the wiper blade touches only the glass of the front screen, I cannot see any benefit from them. If they touch the frame of the screen or even the scuttle it is another story, but they shouldn't do just that. Then the wiper blade must be too long or the sweeping angle too wide. Both can be fixed. Look up this thread for further discussion on wipers: http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/609867/Searchpage/1/Main/37095/Words/%2Balternative+%2Bwipers/Search/true/re-alternative-wipers#Post609867

I maintain what I wrote in my former post. I have so-called sharp edges, no harm done neither on my car or any other Mog I have seen without caps - and that is quite a few.
