I agree Peter, I will offer you £10k for your Plus 4 now, it’s a good offer because it won’t be worth anything soon

Thats a great offer Craig.......Peter should snatch your hand off as I recon the market would now only value his Plus 4 at £9K

You'll be able to sell them all right, you just won't get much for them. Maybe it's the pub I drink in, but as far as I can see the trendy middle classes are already turning their backs on ICE cars. I've had 3 or 4 conversations with people over the last couple of weeks, and all have been along the lines of "I shan't buy another car until I get an EV".

There will of course be loads of ICE cars around for decades to come, but I reckon that by 2025 the majority of new cars sold will be BEVs or Hybrids and by 2030 most major manufacturers will have dropped ICE vehicles from their range.

Not been in a Tesla Model 3 Performance yet then? F**** me those things are quick. Porsche 911 territory for half the price.

I think that the value of all ICE vehicles will start to fall as they fall out of favour with the public. Anything perceived as polluting will be essentially worthless in 10 to 15 years.

You haven't seen what people drive around in, in South Yorkshire.

I'm sure you're right. ICE cars will never be outlawed, the pressures to change will be entirely social and financial. The rich will always be able to afford them, and the enthusiasts will always be able to do a few hundred miles a year in them.

As others have pointed out already, they will become like horses or traction engines: still available, still used, and the subject of special interest gatherings. Just don't expect to see many on your commute to work.

The world is going to change an awful lot in the next 15 years, one way or the other.

Probably the same as what most people drive around in Gloucestershire: sub £2k snotters, old bangers that are essentially worthless, in the sense that if they go wrong they scrap them and buy another rather thna fix them.

I think it’s the pubs you frequent Tim....they are too middle class. 😉
