She seems to think that her hip will pop out whilst getting in or out!

I'd suggest allowing about 3 months would be wise. The hip is unlikely to dislocate after 2 months, if it does she and you will know: it is excruciating. Caroline had one go after 2 weeks, trying to do too much too soon. She had to be put to sleep by the paramedics to get her down stairs, such was the pain.

Caroline has had both hips replaced, she was back horse riding after 4 months, but she was young, early 50s and took her physio VERY seriously, seeing an ex army physio twice a week. With her left leg she was driving after 4 weeks, we have an automatic, but for her right leg it was 12 weeks before she was deemed to have enough strength to do an emergency stop.

Everyone is different, getting into and out of a Mog requires a greater degree of flexibility than for the same pro=cess in a more conventional "tintop"!

A lovely drive round my winter loop - 26 miles of bright sunshine - a sight seldom seen here in the Great East Midlands this winter.
The only other interesting vehicle seen was a Routemaster Double Decker.

Thanks Peter. Lady HB tells me she’s in her early 50’s (😇) and would like an Army medic too if she could find one....
She’s approaching the 3 months timescale now so starting to build up the physio/walking distance. I have suggested lying across the back of Florence but I understand it may be a bit of a squeeze.....

Just noticed on page 7 of February Miscellany at bottom of Melvyn Rutter add, pictures and text describing repairs to your car Keith. Looks like finally you have a good result and ready for this season's drive. Look forward to seeing some pics thumbs

Only about 5 miles today for some quick shopping at the local garage. But managed 28 miles yesterday afternoon. A bit damp and grey, otherwise I would have gone a bit further!
