Can confirm those are not Aero America side vents as I 've had the Aero America side vents fitted to my carbon fibre bodied Aero S1 as couldn't have louvre as per factory ali wings.

Personally, I hope they have loads of interest at that price and they sell it for near asking price. It would help keep the prices of all Aero derivatives high - and that's no bad thing
Maybe it's priced so high because it's the only S3 for sale on AutoTrader at the moment and it was used in AutoCar's Review back in 2007. Back then it had Standard Aero America Side Vents.
A car having been in the hands of journalists is generally not an indicator of it being worth more unless it's got an impeccable history of maintenance and appeared at specific events (e.g. motor shows / Villa d'este etc etc)
What I meant is that it has been at the Factory for all of it's life and that could mean they have kept it in good condition visually and mechanically. I still have no idea why the original America Side Vents were taken off of it though.
I think what I'm basically saying is regardless of condition, ex factory cars don't retail for a premium on the new price - which is what they are asking for here!

With respect DMA, you are preaching to the converted. mr_tony has had two former MMC cars, so he is quite aware of the rarity or otherwise of them, and the difference it makes to the selling price.
