Hi
I've just (in a moment of clarity / madness) bought a +4 having long admired them from afar - now I find myself with a slight problem. I always promised myself that I wouldn't buy one until I had a garage in which to store it but my eagerness to drive a Morgan has outstripped my garage ownership plans. I have a drive to park it on but can anyone recommend a good all weather outdoor cover that is easy to put on and take off and will protect my new acquisition from the elements and any 'gifts' that birds may bestow...
I'm sure the coming weeks will produce many more questions, but this strikes me as a particularly urgent one as I only have 4 Morgan free days in which to get myself sorted.
All suggestions welcome! And many thanks in advance!

Never used one of these Mitchell, but have always liked the idea and they do outdoor ones too.

If you are looking for something a bit more down to earth, John Taylor does a very reasonable complete car cover for £72. See www.morganhoods.com.I have only used one in the garage, but it should give pretty good protection outdoors too and is very straightforward to put on and take off. Great news about the car, I'm sure you realise there will be demands for pictures asap.

+1 vote for a "bubble" I had a "Carcoon" www.carcoon.co.uk for a year before I got a garage -- easy to use, and added bonus that if the car went in wet, it was dry an hour later. I found it brilliant! No connection, just a happy customer!! Welcome to the Plus4 club - I have mine almost 2 years and am still grinning!!

If you want an outdoor COVER ( e without a frame) then a Tyvek cover would be a good idea) Any of the established dealers will be able to get/sell you one if you want something with a frame, then makes such as 'Carcoon' - the model with a frame, or Air Chamber would be good bets. There are others and you can find plenty of info in the ads pages of 'Classic and Sports Car' 'Octane' etc G

Thanks for the tips - I think a framed garage may well be a squeeze for the driveway and there are also logistical problems providing an electricity supply for the 'carcoon' style ones (but how on earth would any of you know that?!). I'm inclined towards the £72 version from morganhoods.com (Halfords offer a c. £75 'advanced' cover, but for reasons I can never quite put my finger on I have an aversion to shopping there).
At least this will give me a starting point and I'll see how it copes with the British 'summer'.

Welcome to the worldwide club that is Morgan ownership! And of course, to TalkMorgan When my +4 lived outside for a while I used a Tyvek cover supplied by John Worral / Heart of England - worked very well. Kept the cover when I sold the +4. Cheers,
