I am told that I may have a slightly leak from the clutch slave cylinder on my V6 Roadster and that it is an engine out repair. Does anyone know of an easier solution?

It's a concentric slave John, around the gearbox input shaft.
So the engine and gearbox must be split to get access.

John On S1 Roadsters MMC left a big hole in the bell housing for crap to get in. I blanked mine off following one of Dave's excellent posts. I think gomog also has something on it. It might be worth fitting a plate if you have this hole.

Are you really sure, if you have clutch creep whilst keeping your foot down on the pedal in stop start traffic, it can be the master cyl (more easy to swop) Has whoever diagnosed it had a borescope inside the housing & seen a weep ?

There a been a slight reduction of fluid in the slave cylinder reservoir and some marks of the bulkhead possibly due to escaped fluid. The clutch works normally. I don't think a borescope was used. I am reluctant to opt for an engine-out with such minimal symptoms so I think I will keep a watching brief and carry a can of brake fluid in the car. I did wonder if any of you gurus knew of another solution. Thank you all for your input.

I would recommend fitting that plate over the hole in the bell housing https://www.gomog.com/allmorgan/RoadsterBellhousingFix.html

John, thanks for your advice. It looks a though it is necessay to remove the bell housing to effect this mod - something that I am not capable of. However I wonder if a piece of thin aluminium sheet shaped to fit could be stuck down with some mastic. It could be removed easily if needs be. It would not be the end of the world if it fell off from time to time as it would be esy to replace. If I eventually had to have the bell housing revove the a pice of aluminium could be screwed in place.

I just made a plate to fit and from memory used one of the existing bolts to hold it in situ. I didn't put any fasting at the top as there is a ridge between the bell housing and gearbox that holds it on.
I did it just by jacking the front up & then from underneath.

If you want I can try to get a photo. It isn't elegant but it is better than nothing.
