As I am banned from soft top motoring i was missing something fun to drive and that could be practical in the lanes.
The Panda 4x4 is a blast, 2 cyclinders, 8 valves, go anywhere. I got a 2013 example with low milage cheaply a little over 100 to insure for 2 drivers and 30 a year to tax.

Still have the MB estate for more serious longer trips and transport for partner's lunatic cocker spaniel

Errr of the 8 valves is it true that 4 are in the radio?   BR Colin (only jealous a mate had one and it got through all the blizzards and snow a few years ago)

We have a 2wd 1.2 Panda which Susie uses.
Brilliant on the narrow lanes of Devon.
Plenty of ground clearance and with country tyres, it goes almost anywhere.
Superb little car.

Always tried to hire the old type when abroad. The best box ever put on four wheels. Go anywhere.

I bought one of these recently for a lady friend of mine and I couldn't fault it although the pedal orientation relative to the centre line of the drivers seat needs sorting, I found myself hitting the wrong pedal very easily.

Always tried to hire the old type when abroad. The best box ever put on four wheels. Go anywhere. We had two of the old ones back in the 1980's, cracking little cars especially on snow. Rusted like I don't know what though.

Not surprised you like it. I have the same 0.9 twinair engine (105ps version) in an Alfa MiTo.
You learn to drive it in such a way as to make the most of its: nothing, nothing, nothing, EVERYTHING... power delivery, by carrying speed and momentum through corners. With the sure-footedness of 4wd I'm sure your Panda is even more of a hoot.

Great little car. My wife has two original ones, the second a 4x4 and I loved the simplicity. Rust was the biggest issue unlike the later Pandas. I had a very basic one as a four seater runabout when I had two seaters as my main car. Fun to drive and very practical. A twin air Mito followed...great little engine once you got use to it and kept it in in sports mode.

Perhaps we should a Morgan to make a TwinAir 4/4 as and entry point CX model
