Hi,
I am posting this from Kuwait, where I live & work. I just bought a 97 +8 and will pick it up in July and drive it to Austria.
I keen to get information on insurance & long distance touring for which I will open new threads.

I thought you were buying the car in Kuwait! Kuwait to Austria would be a long and rather adventurous drive!

Kuwait to Austria would be indeed. I only reside in Q8, which is not yet Morgan-land. I know a German though who drove back to Berlin in his Beetle every summer in the sixties and early seventies. No A/C, wife and 2 kids, roof rack ..... via Iraq, Turkey, Greece, Macedonia, Yugoslavia, Austria - my hero. 50+ Celsius in shade from June to August.
