Hi,
I am obviously new to the Morgan community. So I'd like to tap into your vast experience.

On longer trips what are tips for
packing?
accommodation & fastening of holdalls, suit cases, trolleys?
emergency equipment?
clothing?

Two obvious solutions, from a non Morgan owner.

1/ travel light. I can recommend the wash and dry overnight grundies. One of those airline freebie toothbrushes, and take only one credit card.
2/ Arrange for the wife/ partner / crumpet to travel to the destination by train / bus, and use the passenger space for luggage.

To be a bit more sensible, the key is to travel very light as with any small sports car. External luggage is only viable if you are going straight to the destination - theft is the risk. Pack everything possible inside the car which means lots of small packages.

I have a large rigid plastic suitcase on the rack, complete with inner tube round the 'weatherproof' seal, extended brake light and more importantly two locking surfboard straps which are steel reinforced. So all the valuable stuff is in the case and stays dry too.
Inside, behind the seats we put squashy bags, wet weather gear (just on the off chance)and other coats, etc.
Obviously travel as light as possible but we've never had much of a problem doing that in exchange for being in a Morgan. PS too old for surf boarding, just a lucky internet find!

Luckily I have come into Morgan ownership after a number of years touring the continent and camping on a motorbike so it has excess luggage space in my eyes!
Just got back from a weeks tour of Scotland, partly camping and it took all my and my partners gear plus tent...just! The passenger footwell is pretty deep so even carrying a passenger there was room to fit in a soft bag which also gave her a handy footrest. The tent went into a waterproof Ortlieb bag strapped to the rack and the rest into soft bags in the "boot".

Anyone any pics of a touring prepared car showing stowed away and or attached luggage? How much space is behind the seats?
I am just asking since I haven't checked it myself. I just bought the car which is with Allon White and I am in Kuwait...

Beause I have a personal hang up about weight hanging over the back axle, I only use a very small suitcase on my lugggage rack and put the majority of stuff in the car in a set of Rob Hills' fitted bags:

Rob Hill's look good. I fear I'd leave them mounted forever for convenience sake.

The suitcase goes on the rack, but will I have sufficient space behind the seats? For some reasons I can't visualize my wife and a smile with the duffel bag on her lap as we drive past Dijon.

I use a Peli case, waterproof and not oversized

It's a Peli Case for me too. But I need to buy a smaller one when it's just me touring...
