Yes went out today with freshly greased kingpins just to move them around a bit, short trip around the village, just managed to dodge the showers.

We have covered just over 2000 miles since we acquired the Morgan last July and greased the kingpins 4 times. Is it my imagination or do freshly greased pins work better? Today the suspension seemed to be just a little more compliant and a little more forgiving.

They do work better.

Drove to the de Haviland Museum just off jct 22 on the M25. Stayed dry & cozy warm but a bot of a boring drive (A14,A12 & M25) so on the way back I cut through Constable country and the back roads around Manningtree & Ipswich.

Husband drove our new Morgan from Perth to its now home in the Scottish Highlands, some 235 miles approx. Weather was good so he was pleased about that. I had been wondering what to call our "new baby", I had thoughts like Princess, Duchess etc. However, having experienced the journey home which was a real adventure it has now been named "the wee scary beastie" !!!

Drove over to Oakmere today for the first service (not the 1000 mile one, the actual first service). Plus a bit of warranty work being a new windscreen as some heating elements right in front of the driver have gone..

73 miles, really dull route as it’s mainly M62 and other anodyne motorways around Manchester. Still managed to wear a big grin though, roof down all the way. A bit of rain in Cheshire but none came in as I was moving, and by the time I got to dealers it had stopped so all was well.

Interior mirror fell off just as I was getting out of the car..good job they needed it off to replace the windscreen.

They were kind enough to loan me for free a Toyota Aygo to get home in while they have the Morgan. Apologies to any Aygo owners, but I found it a truly unpleasant car. It’ll sit in the garage until such time as I get the call to collect Morgan!

Just out of the garage far enough to give the car it’s early spring wash and polish - looks too good now to navigate the dirt and cow dermot around here, so back in the garage till the countryside dries up a bit - hopefully tomorrow!!!!

Took the Mini rather than Morton to Southwold today on the east coast, so Benji could bound along the beach before its closed for dogs on 1st April. The choice of car was vindicated when we visited the Harbour area. Not sure if it was a result of southerly wind and spring high tide but the gravel track is now full of large puddles some deep enough to lightly ground our car. No way the Mog would have managed unscathed.

I know it's a popular venue with other FolkMog members together with adjacent Walberswick so thought it worth mentioning. Hopefully the holes will be filled when the wind and rain subside but beware if visiting in the meantime. On the plus side at least one new eatery there and two fish stalls.

Richard,
I agree that car park is like the Somme if you are in a Roadster. Walberswick has that bridge to the car park that hits the underside on the way out one up.
Mind you the de Hvialnd Museum yesterday had sleeping policeman that were viscous and unpainted.

The fish restaurants in Southwold are though worth the effort.
