Started to replace the rear brake cylinders today. Removed the R/H rear drum and found the rear brake lining had become detached and I don't have a spare set of shoes on hand.
Does anyone know the part number and a recommended supplier?

Here you go- just give your local Motor Factors the number and they will cross reference it. Rear brakesOr BHM always have some in stock BHM in stock. Delphi/Lockheed LS1311 Springs etc

Try these brake part numbers, http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthread...rad-models-brake-part-numbers#Post613595I have used these parts recently and they were identical to the original parts I took off, so I can say from experience they are correct. You can use the numbers to cross reference.
1994 +8, BMW Calypso Red.
2002 4/4, 4 seater, BMW Calypso Red.

Make sure the registration on the cup washers on the steady springs are good as when I replaced my cylinders and shoes a few years back one of them let go and locked the back axle solid, luckily I was backing out of my garage at the time it might not have been so funny at speed, nearly a Plus Six moment  .

On my 1994 +8 the rear brake shoes are Mintex MLR67.

Thanks to all for your assistance, parts are now on order. After scouring the internet using every cross reference imaginable I could only find one vendor in North America who carried the +8 shoes. Thank goodness.

If it is only the shoe lining that is worn or damaged then it might be worth typing in " BRAKE SHOE RELIGHNING" into your search engine... ?
