The first SLR was based on the TR chassis and another has been built in the recent past and raced successfully in the last couple of years. There are at least another 2 in build and orders are still being accepted!
They are faithful reproductions of the original and still based upon the TR4 engine and chassis. So although you can't buy a Morgan SLR, a new Triumph version could be available!

Yes if and a big if they were to build a special on the CX chassis they would do better to base it on a Ferrari GTO for instance a really nice looking well proportioned car.
Or resurrect the EVA project.
The SLR is ok but nothing special about it for me they always look a bit clunky to me in particular the front end.
I’d like to see something like that. I’m sure I talked about Eva to Brian (Aeroman) a few years ago and he’d seen the mockup in the metal. And I was told that the proportions were all wrong for a practical vehicle. So may be elements of Eva could be designed into a new car.

It would be nice if they could produce a two seater coupe along similar lines, I'm sure they would have a market among the new younger customer base.

Is it this SP1 you are referring too. ![[Linked Image]](https://assets.newatlas.com/dims4/default/3c868bf/2147483647/strip/true/crop/668x450+0+0/resize/1200x808!/quality/90/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fnewatlas-brightspot.s3.amazonaws.com%2Farchive%2Fmorgan-sp1.jpg) Not sure about rear fenestration which looks seriously limited. Richard, I saw the SP1 at Malvern. A lovely looking bit of kit.

I remember seeing it at the Newquay Mog in 2008.
