My best mate's father at school (Churston) ran the Galmpton boat yard. My aunt & uncle lived there. A great place.

Maybe they will have “Corona Cruises” in future - a cruise line where passengers and crew have had the virus and recovered.

Excursions might be a problem though!

Richard just looking and spotted this . I don't think I can put a heart felt feeling into it how can I when i lost my best mate all the way through school and work . We both saved each others life . I saved him from being drowned by a group of drunken yobs ( yes there is another hard side to me that people seldom see ) and he grabbed me as I went round a corner in a J4 van no seat belt sliding doors I slipped out of the sliding door quick as a flash he grabbed me and pulled me across the seat or I would have gone under the front wheels .

Yes I enjoyed the cruise but not the way I wanted it to be but who knows because on the 1st night June and I slinked off to a quiet room only a few mins and who should walk in but a mog mate from Manchester he has an early 1950s twin spare tyres whats the odds on that. He said you go mate I want to see it through your eyes I don't think i understand that he was so near to death did he know something I did not yet we both 100% atheists . Sorry but my cheeky grin is on my face as my eyes watched a good few Swedish women knowing my late mate would have done the same . When it was all over June and I called in to see how his wife was as she is disabled . She sent us to there bedroom to take something from Fred's box on the window sill ( I took a pair of cuff links with classic car on them . Rita shouted from down stairs " you better not get up to any naughty as I am timing you " I fired back hope your watch does milli seconds . when we got down stairs I was told " you always have an answer but so did Fred two pea's in a pod

If there was a God and he sent someone down if it was not Fred I would send him back with a blunt letter.

You will have to read this several times as I found it hard to write it sorry mate.

Thanks John for your openness and what a lovely thing to do for a lifelong friend, he'll know I'm sure.
Glad you and June enjoyed the sights too he was right wasn't he.

Well Richard him up there must be shaking his head , you may remember I told you he was in with another boss of the church and I showed them around the mog . That was last year . I was watching the guy along the road he has just sold 7 or 8 Freezers as they are going crackers up here . The boss of the proddy lot parked his Audi outside my door and I said to him you cannot park it there . He asked why and I told him I hit the kerb the other day and need a couple of alloys like yours . With a grin on my face so you better give him up there a call . He looks at me and I just grin he does not know how to take me . A couple of years ago the vicar sent a lad to see if I had any wax to polish the gold plates . I had to point out you will remove the gold its not brasso . I told him to go easy or I will come and take the cost out of your box I did get a odd look . Yet the vicar before was great. They are high church now Richard to many kicks in the ???? for me to accept religion not my nature if there was a God and he popped down to convert me he would end up down below after a night out with me that's for sure ..

Richard

I like the words God forgive me for the sins I have done
and the sins I am going to do .

ps . I forgot went on the Flam! railway and found a table on a mountain top starving sat down at a wooden table and a bloody huge hairy goat
jumped on the table and scoffed my food Everyone fell about laughing and took photos so my face must be around the world don't know if the world is running from the photo of me or the illness. NOW NOW .

John,

Loving the Audi story.

As far as faith goes Heather and I have been truly blessed and met some wonderful helpful people during these recent sad times for us as a family as you know , there are many angels in disguise walking around down here lending a hand when needed.

Not too much loving your neighbour now mate ! June would go ballistic...

I forgot to tell you Richard while on that cruise I was my shy self .It was after midnight bed time and June wanted to see the photos they took of us dressed up . So I off to the reception . While waiting at the counter in swept this woman well dressed in fur and very well spoken smiled at me and told me to cheer up. I told her I was tired . She pulled me to her and planted a long kiss on my lips and the staff behind the counter looked taken back she then told me to smile gave me one huge smile and glided out of the doorway ( it never happened when i was a single lad ) . I got to our cabin told June and she was in stitches with a few taken the p remarks

Not a lot you can say to that not sure if its my looks charm or cheeky grin now now no rude remarks I have the best woman in the world but sometimes I could bloody kill her when I am WORKING ON THE MOG down in the engine and she tells me to hurry up GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR .

Do tell more John, I think we are beginning to realise why these cruises are so popular now it's a bit of a swingers floating club laugh2
