Good morning all, I trust everyone had a good weekend!
I have been enjoying the S2 very much over the last 2 days, but for one thing - when it started raining in Hampshire on Sunday morning, I discovered that the windscreen wipers don't work.
MMC has had the car and replaced an electronic module to solve a window problem. But it has returned with misbehaving wipers.
It's an electronics problem (I think) as they are behaving weirdly. When I put them pu to clean the windscreen and apply some emergency Rain-X, they slowly rotated around so that they are now lying flat in the bonnet. They occasionally twitch slowly, but there is no response to the stalk controls.
The battery has been dosconnected while the wrap was put onto the car, so it could be an ECU reset problem. Which I do not know how to do.
Is this something that anyone knows about, or is this going back to Keith's endless patience and competence at BHM...?

It sound to me as though the blades have been put on when the rotators are in the wrong position. I would take the blades off, then see if the motor is turning back and forth correctly. Switch the motor off then re-fix the blades-flat when the motors are in parked position.

Thanks. I hope that's all it is, but I'm not hopeful as lifting the wipers and turning on had no effect at all, and when they rotated onto the bonnet, they did so really slowly: so motor isn't working as it should. I'll try anything though, so that's tonight's job: thanks!

Reminds me...not that it helps you Harry, as mines a 4/4 but on the bumpy roads of Arran a couple of weeks ago, the wipers started playing up. They would not turn off. Turned out that the connector block to the wiper motor had jolted loose!

The battery has been dosconnected while the wrap was put onto the car, Wrap? There must be some before after pictures. Did I miss them??  Could you give us some details about the wrap process and results.? Cheers J

As others said check the position of the wiper motors with them lifted off.
Reset procedure is detailed on here somewhere - maybe try a search?
Other things that might cause this - split hose of screenwash below bonnet - manifests as strage ecu behaviour / lights coming on etc. Plus strong smell of screenwash in cabin...

my Max has gone twice already for a wiper-fix, motors fail, the wipers don't grip on the "stubs" that are mounted on the axle, and last time: axle of the wiper-engine BROKE = ????? anyway, silly problems that are fix-able
