Can anyone advise on fitting these in terms of drilling the bracket hole positions on a Plus 4 with Over Riders?

Where you want them is up to you, really. Make a cardboard dummy, move it around untill you find a position you like. Use a punch to mark the holes, cover the mark with a little masking tape to prevent the burr bit from slipping, drill away....
Now there is another (rather more expensive) solution which might work: you can purchase a longer badge bar (for example from Heart of England) that almost reaches the overriders. Then the lamps can be fixed to the bagde bar close to the overriders, using a bracket. Stafford Vehicle Components makes such a bracket, intended for Lucas spots. It might work, but others make brackets too, check out HoE, Librands etc.
I have not tried this myself, and it might be that this setup puts too much strain on the badge fittings. Borghi i Milan makes a bar that actually attatches to the overriders, must be a lot more stable. Then you would have to order it from Italy.... Boils down to how much money and effort you are willing to spend and what you really are achieving.

I have the Borghi badge bar. Ordered from the UK with no difficulty. The badge bar fits to drilled holes in the sides of the overriders and also to the two existing bolts at the bottom of the radiator grille. This has been on my car for at least 5 years now with two 6” spots fitted. There is no deterioration in the finish and the set up is stable without vibration. Well worth considering I would say.

RJW, interesting. From pictures it seems that the spot brackets are integrated in the bar. Is this correct?I suppose you had to drill the overriders yourself? And may I ask who your dealer was? It might be easier and perhaps cheaper to get a bar from UK rather than Italy, one can at least investigate. I realise that you purchased them a long time ago, but I thought I might ask anyway.

Yes the spot brackets are intergrated into the bar. I drilled the overriders myself, not too difficult with a decent drill bit. I sourced the badge bar direct from Borghi in Italy. They responded quickly and I am pleased with the quality of the item. I’m not aware of a similar badge bar being available from a UK source but I may be wrong on that since it is some time since I investigated availability.

Thanks for the info. Several dealers in the UK sell a wider-than-original bar, but none with integrated brackets nor attachment to the overriders. I will contact Borghi. Might be rather expensive, I think it was around 160 euro some years ago. But then no need to buy brackets. We'll see. I appreciate your cooperation.

An alternative is to use the number plate box for spotlight fixing.

I inherited this set up which initially was a tad wobbly and the spotlights pointed skywards. The box has now been internally stiffened with tough plastic ribs and fibreglass resin.

Angled aluminium spacer blocks were fabricated to bring the front of the box to a vertical plane. More spacer blocks were fabricated to move the over riders forward by 25mm.

Love yer work there Chris, however, the headlight grills would drive me mad at that jaunty angle??

The Borghi system works very well.
Mine were fitted by Borghi's workshop.
