Retrofitting a factory Morgan mudguard kit. It is super close to the sidewall on the right side rear tire. The side next to the belt is fine. How did folks resolve this when installing? I read about using low profile hardware but that doesn't look like enough clearance still. Looks dangerous.

The front mount onto inner part of swinging arm has horizontal slots allowing lateral movement to front of mudguard, although mine needed bolting hard over to one side of slots to centralise. Assuming side mounts to top of swinging arm are positioned correctly, bending them to move mudguard laterally is another option.
Remember mudguard clearance to underneath of tray is a consideration as well.

I also put the brackets on the inside of the mudguard on one side and the outside on the other.

Be careful too with the front screws! They marked my tire! (Look for the thread "Rubbing sound in the boot while turning right") http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthread...-the-boot-while-turning-right#Post616135I still have a noise while turning right sharp, but even without the mudguard. And I can't see where it comes from

There are a number of threads on TM concerning this topic which include several useful tips for doing the job. Googling 'Fitting Morgan Mudguard' should bring up links to those previous threads.
