Yes seems to me that so far there is little to criticise, a fairly measured and tactical response from HMG. the Public on the other hand have demonstrated some of the worst behaviour, all the masks at NHS Epsom were stolen in the first week of the outbreak. The supermarket shelves have been cleared even though the food supply is under no threat. The very people who will be looking after us find it the most difficult to live a normal life themselves as a result of this selfishness.
Meanwhile, this is my activity:

As you know, I live in France, in a relatively underpopulated area, never the less We are taking this very seriously indeed. When we went to market, people were keeping their distance and the police were checking peoples papers.

I mulled over this as I was in the scene of chaos that is Tescos. . They do a mean range of pot noodles right now & not much else. All the loo roll gone again! But on the upside I did find some interesting fresh pasta tortellini & at the local sausage shop they were queuing out of the store.

Seems to me if the press continue to up sell the panic we get military rule. I am saddened by the attitude of some people. Still they will have a good supply of loo roll.

The number of snivelling teachers ringing into phone in shows complaining that they can’t cope because a few of the colleagues are off and complaining that the government should have closed the schools long ago is doing my nut

Now they are ringing in complaining they have to go back to work to look after children from key workers and it’s a shambles

No sense of duty and I think a lot of these teachers, ( the ones I’ve heard on the radio recently anyway ) have had it too easy and don’t know what hardship is

They seem quick to absolve themselves of any responsibility looking after children

I can’t imagine any one of my school masters when I was at school complaining, they would have fought in the trenches and come into school with amputated limbs if needed

But then some of them had fought in the war and had been through tough times

In our shared office block is a call centre, only seen a couple of managers around recently, so just asked one - apparently because of GDPR staff can't work from home so half made redundant & the rest on basic stat sick pay

I've a feeling that if construction sites are forced to close, we'll see some major main contractors going pop with zero cashfow

Must admit that this mornings stuff on the BBC was very depressing. Feeling a lot more positive now as I really don't think most people are taking any notice of the media hype . There may be a few idiots buying too much of some items but they will soon get sick of it and they hopefully will run out of funds to do it ! Most people are getting on with lives as normal as they reasonably can !

Just heard this on our local radio "I don't want to live like this, but I don't want to die!"

A friend`s husband is a very eminent specialist in communicable diseases and has been drafted in to advise Boris & co. He told his wife before he left that it is very serious (something he has never said to her before). Nuff said - I`m taking sensible precautions and trying to follow guidelines otherwise we are apparently looking at 250,000+ fatalities.

As a retired teacher could I suggest that if you`ve not done the job yourself recently to try to support teachers who are always the whipping boy/person. I have heard that teachers are now being employed to walk around in the sewers as a cure for constipation - nobody can resist crapping on a teacher.
