Thanks again for the update, she's looking like a nicely safe cockpit. Safety is a big factor and I am sure I am overbuilding it but I am using SAE and IHRA chassis design in the construction where I can.

Your drawings show diagonal bracing for strength which the M3W lacks. Wont the transverse diagonal brace to left of gearbox severely obstruct your legs?

The transmission that is modeled is a NC transmission as thats all I could find a model for. The NB transmission I am using has the shifter farther back as well. The brace should be at the end of the footwell. These drawings are pretty fluid at this point and I am sure there will be improvements and modifications coming.

With all the crap going on in life and the world, progress has pretty much halted....Until today, when I picked up my splined shafts for the transfer case and intermediate shaft. They are now Carbonitrided and the splines are hardened to about 58rc and the rest is between 43-45rc. The steel started at around 18rc. I can now complete the assembly of the transfer case and the bearing housing of the intermediate shaft. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/06/10/20200610_115839.jpg)

Good progress and that looks like some nice engineering there. Yeah, I was pretty nervous about sending them out to heat treat. There is a lot of work in those 3 parts for sure.
