On the Southwold front, I exchanged messages of encouragement with the head brewer at Adnams this morning.

I told him about an article I'd read that Brewdog had brought out their own brand of hand sanitizer. He replied that Adnams aren't doing that, but they have been donating alcohol for the production of hand sanitizer for the NHS.

There's a firm on Gower South Wales that have switched it's gin making to sanitizers. Was on the local news last night.

I notice today that privately owned pubs are still opening while the Brewery owned pubs are shut till further notice .

Madmax..... do we presume they will be getting their licence pulled ? .....or is it a case of them claiming some wrinkle in the law that means they are a Hotel with a bar that just happens to allow 'walk-ins' or some such ....one would hope they would suffer for it down the road, but these days there's enough selfish thickos that would think it was fine as long as it allowed them to avoid putting themselves out in any way .

Adnams announced the closure of the places they run themselves on Thursday, before it was imposed.

I wonder if any of the breweries themselves (the brewers) might have to shut down as pubs won't be ordering beer?

None of my favourite cider on the shelf this morning. apparently hasn't been any for three days. Lots of others though.
Managed to get a favourite ale on Thursday, doubt that will go on much longer. However, an email from Wychwood says they may start delivering to homes - I could be back on the Hobgoblin

I had to settle for Tanglefoot this week not Abbot. But you know it will get back in supply quickly.

Is there a law for this ? Lets see it ! In reality things are different out there ......
