I normally let all the teachers in the family and their friends - and now their young children use the house and it’s facilities during school holidays. I think they will all need a break more than ever as they try to keep the balance in looking after key workers children and their own - it’s certainly challenging my own daughter and our grandchildren - who sadly we can no longer look after. Daughter No2 had to close her Pilates Fitness Gym this morning. All very sad - she had worked so hard to get it established.

I think it’s time for a glass of wine by the fire.

All stay safe.

OP posted :-

"Just in the current pandemic the medical professionals down hear are concerned about the impact on the realtively few intensive care beds in the region compared with the rest of the country."

Something similar ...

I live in a town with a population of well over 200,000 and with one of the most diverse populations in the country, with high levels of deprivation. However, we also have one of the highest performing hospitals in the country which still will be unable to cope with the numbers of intensive care patients. We are all in this together. No region or area has it worse than anywhere else. It's all of us. Everywhere. Worldwide. Society. The universal restrictions, advice and policies are for everyone, not just small communities. No size of community can deal with this.
