The more traditional look! I changed my Vredestein Classic Sprints to these Michelin XZX's because of the former poor performance on wet. But I do like your "fat" look with those chrome caps!

Thanks Bert, these things are fine to distract one's attention form the COVID-pandemic, which I also have to face as an internist and member of the COVID team in Zuyderland Medisch Centrum. I had a different idea of starting this Morgan season. New tires and a completely new Librands SS exhaust and manifold were part of it, as an adapted K&N filtered inlet. Luckily we joined the Kraantje Lek, Maus Gatsonides Revival Rally 3 weeks ago, which was on a nice sunny Sunday. So I did drive the Morgan this season. For now, it's waiting to see what is happening. Holidays canceled, 24/7 shifts, etc. Fingers crossed.

Ruut, that sounds like a lot of work and responsibility! Your work is admirable and of course cannot be replaced by Home Office. I have highest regard.

I was moved to tears when she said that she hardly has any time for herself and that many colleagues and herself are secretely crying because of the triage situation in her area.

It's hard to imagine what you and your colleagues have to work at the moment. Even though it may look even better in Holland than in Italy.
Let's hope that we all get through this time well. At least as far as our health is concerned. Economic consequences are secondary to saving lives at the moment. They will determine the issues later.

But I wanted to tell you this off the top of my head. Perhaps on behalf of you and all your colleagues around the world. There should be no thread drift. We have enough threads in the Malvern Arms about the Corona pandemic. Anyway.

Your XZX looks great. I remember when the XZX was new and very innovative. The tread pattern of the tyre is memorised in my head. My used Citroen GS had these tyres in 1978 and also my R6 in 1979.
Probably they use a slightly different rubber compound today but otherwise...a real piece of living nostalgia.

Thanks Heinz, we're scaling up, let's hope that we do not get the Italian tragedies over here. Certainly people died and will do so, but I hope that if one takes responsibility and keeps up social distancing we will be able to handle it and to flatten it out. The solution in the end is in a working vaccin!

Nice little run out this morning and first opportunity to try things out. Was worried that the steering was going to be much heavier with the 195 front tyres (especially with the 13" wheel) but can't say I noticed any difference. Running 24psi all round,

Seemed a bit more sure footed round corners, and let me keep the pedal on where previously I'd had to let off.

Think the rear brake adjuster needs a little tweak but overall very happy with the result.
