I have been homebound lately and decided I will be doing the bafflectomy when things get warmer. I've tried to compile the great wisdom of others into a single procedure. Please take a look and offer any constructive comments you believe enhance/improve/illustrate/clarify. We do this in another collector truck forum I am in and it works very nicely. Then the final is shared amongst the many. It is meant to be a recommended procedure, but not the only procedure. Thank you.

The write up is good and describes the process well. I would just add that I found removing the drill bit from the cutter and spraying WD40 in to keep it lubricated worked much better, also I didn't need to use the hammer function just applied light pressure then let the cutter do its business.

In my case I removed the first and last baffles and kept the large 8 holed center baffle.

Bruce, you would not happen to have a video of that sound that now comes from your bafflectomy?

Stephen; I don't have a video but will try to do one so you can hear the sound, I imagine it is similar to the stage one sound.

Thanks Bruce.

By any chance are you going to use an iPhone to take the video? Then it would be a very close, if not exact, comparison to my video.

Great guide.
One clean up suggestion for your first page would be shorter links. It is easy to generate shorter Amazon links: click on share on the item page and it will generate an email with a (much) shorter link you can copy and paste into your guide, for example I got this for the first one:

I want to recommend this product at Amazon.com

EZARC Carbide Hole Cutter Heavy Duty for Stainless Steel, 1-1/2 Inch 38mm

Or go to tinyURL.com.

Where:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I4178R4/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_DZrEEb8QFFAFG

becomes:

https://tinyurl.com/rntxhcz

You can even give your tiny links a custom alias name that you create.

You dont need the ref stuff - I always cut n paste just the product ID stem of the URI...
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I4178R4

PS: also works for changing .com to .co.uk (etc) in some cases e.g. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01I4178R4
