Having taken the car out of hibernation a couple of weeks ago and reduced the PSI from 46 to 22 it appears that it will now be a while before I can use it again. So the idea is to keep the wheels off the floor to avoid flat spots.

Driving to the local petrol station to pump up the tyres is not an option as it is not an essential journey (although many on here may disagree ).

Having not done this before I ventured onto Amazon to see what I could have delivered, to be met with a plethora of choices ranging from cheap to not so cheap.

They all look much of muchness and it's obviously not rocket science but I want to make sure I get an adequate set to make the job as easy (and safe) as possible.

If you are bored with self isolation please have a look and let me know which ones you would get............ And do you have any tips?

Those look fine to me, I prefer the ratchet type to the types with the pin as they are easier to adjust. I have the Sealey VS2002 models further down the page you link to.

If you were happy enough with high tyre pressure before why not consider a pump (manual or preferably electric) to pump up your tyres and I’m sure it will be useful at later dates.

Get yourself a small 24 litre compressor for approx £100. You’ll never regret it as besides pumping your tyres up compressed air is so useful in the workshop.

My wife bought a electric pump the other year after trying to check her tyres at the local Tesco filling station/mini mart only for the machine to deflate the tyre rather than inflating. The manager denied responsibility saying the pump was not his responsibility, the AA man who arrived to inflate her flat said she was the third call out that day.

Best thing she did not only for her car but also my cars, bicycle and wheelbarrow

I have set of the ratchet type. I feel safer using those than the pin and as Tim says, much easier and quicker to adjust.

Ratchet type is my preference. I also have ramps but care needed with getting the car onto them. I usually jack the car up and lower it onto them, but only if you are leaving the wheels on!
A small portable compressor is handy as you can take it with you. I have a cheap 24 litre in the garage too. Faster tyre pumping! OK for light work but no great power for heavy jobs. The tank is small and the volume of air supply is limited. Hence why commercial ones are big!
Machine Mart do a decent range so have a look at them. They should still be doing delivery option.

I have a 50l compressor in the parking garage and that's great for tyres. In the workshop I have a 100l that has sufficient oomph for the wheelgun and other pneumatic tools. I'm inclined to agree though that having tyres at higher pressure is easier for longer term parking than mucking about lifting car and using axle stands.

The piece with the rectangular top was to fit our Citroën CX at the time.
