On my first day of lockdown today, restlessness awoke me at 5am.

Coffee and a movie self prescribed, to await a more sensible time to be up and about.

“The Professor and The madman” on Amazon and probably others, trust me, it really is quite good.

A Scotsman and an American compiling the first edition of the Oxford English Dictionary, doesn’t sound like a good story but they’ve made it work.

I find I'm trying to catch up here (and on a photo forum) when I wake at silly hours of the day.
Come on everyone, do more gardening or work in the garage - I can't keep up with the number of posts! laugh2

Yep, ‘Big short’ is excellent. On a similar vein, ‘The Founder’ about the McDonald’s burger empire, amazing and true story.

If you want a chick flick, ‘intolerable cruelty’ with Catherine Zeta and George Clooney, absolutely brilliant fun.

Clever romantic silliness ‘ Mortdecia’ , Johnny Depp and Gwyneth Paltrow, even includes the quote,

“ for all sad words of tongue and pen, the saddest are these, it might have been.”

It was funny in Blackadder innocent

"I'm an anaspeptic phrasmotic, even compunctious to have caused you such pericombobulation"

Read the book years ago (The Surgeon of Crowthorne by Simon Winchester). Really enjoyed it.
As for films - Downfall (of course!) and for all we salesmen if we want to frighten ourselves, Glengarry Glenn Ross.
