I’ve never seen so many people walking about, doesn’t make sense.and although dogs cannot contract the illness, they are still a surface on which the virus can easily transfer to and from, please wash them all with soap and water each time you take them out.

Even my daughter is taking the dog out for a walk. If it wasn’t for the lock down I would encourage you all to come over and take a look. It is unlikely to be ever be seen again once it’s all over.

Gary we are doing a daily walk over the fields to the Orwell and the marina.
The lack of plane & traffic noise is incredible.

People are still driving here to park up on the prom to go for a walk. The police have been here off and on the past couple of days moving people on.
I blame the government...they haven’t clearly spelt out this use of a car....it’s open to interpretation.

I await the return of lashing it down rain again, I bet it'll be back to the usual die hard dog walkers in my area!

Not sure who these people are lately they don't even know the name of the river behind my house! Clearly not been out in the town before at least not on foot!

I walk the dog daily. Luckily there is perfect open space within a minute. There is definitely an increase in walkers, most of whom I don’t recognise as regulars. I am guessing that the “go out once a day” suggestion has been taken up! It is easy to avoid close contact. One reduction, though, is nobody is parking in our road to go. They used to do so to avoid nearby Pay and Display carparks specifically for the park area. I used to drive about 6 miles to Pembrey Country Park that gives access to miles of forest walks but have stopped that option until restrictions lift. I think the Park is closed anyway but there are legitimate access routes if you know where they are and they are suitable for LONG walks only.
The only driving we will do is to shop and drop off essentials to my 98yr old aunt (with proper precautions). She lives about 3 miles away and is very fit. Eyesight is her only problem.

Mark, I must echo that sentiment, I have noticed people walking around our area that I have never seen before and the footpath down to the Broad has never seen so much foot fall unfortunately usually accompanied by noisy, yapping rat dogs. I wonder if they will all go back to driving once we are allowed out and about again?

Here for a good time not a long time!!
