Your right this was on a Hinckley built Triumph 1200 Trophy. ;-)

Nice bike. I do love a classic brit - one of my mate's got a very large collection of Broughs. However, when Bloor decided to create bikes using the Japanese model, they started to get some serious performance.

I've got a 1988 ZX10 - about 140bhp, 0-60 is a nad over 3 secs, and 170mph top speed. Four years earlier Triumph were still flogging the 43bhp T140....

Totally agree with you at the time I also had a 1955 Velo MAC 350 and a 1967 BSA A65 Lightening ex USA export. When Morgan rang to say the build slot for my new +8 had been brought forward post 9/11 I sold the lot to fund it ;-).

BR
Colin (and how could I forget my ultra distance favourite I had a BMW R1100RT 3 years old at the time I sold it, bought it new and put 60,000 miles on it and I was working away at the time a lot so mostly done in 2 week holidays where I rode it to Rome one year, Munich and almost Gibraltar on other trips)

Yeah, I halved my fleet when I bought my Morgan - a) to recoup a bit of cash and b) I needed the space for parking!

Got rid of a Honda GL1000, Suxuki GSX1100, Armstrong MT604 and a BMW K75.

So hat have you bodged up to break the lockdown boredom?
joy

Nothing bodged up about that brilliant piece of construction there John I'm afraid !
What isn't particularly brilliant is the very basic wiring to the front indicators on the N plus 8 which became corroded due to substandard wiring by MMC causing said car to fail its MOT yesterday. The wiring had to be de clagged of muck/salt dirt - under the wheel arch which is not a good place) and then connections replaced to get indicators working again to pass finally - luckily there is an MOT place very near me with strict covid 19 controls in place .

Well done Rob, maybe you can do the tiling in our bathroom? It’s the guest en suite so just use what tiles you’ve got.

Ps I thought this thread was about motorbikes

Hi Stuart

I'm getting to grips with mosaics at the moment if your good lady likes the latest trends. I'd be happy to have a go at yours, no charge to you of course as I could do with the practise to get it perfect.
