The kits as described at the start of this thread are working very well on my 2009 plus4 and on about a dozen others that I know of!! Should your grease nipples be a different thread than those specified in the kit, then just advise the people in "The Nipple Shop" when ordering and they will change the bits to suit your car.
Cheers!

Robbie, Sounds good, I might go for one. Any idea on sizes for a 87 car?
Also do you need one for top or bottom?
Is it worth greasing the top?
Thanks, Will

Best solution is to take one of the nipples you have in the car out and either size it yourself or bring it to someone who can. The same applies to the top. There are a large number of theories as to what is best to put into the top of the suspension - I use a "light" grease.
Is it worth it? I don't know, but as the manufacturer saw fit to give me a grease nipple on the top of the suspension, I feel bound to squirt some grease in!!!! Sure as hell can't hurt.
Cheers!

Hi As I work for The NippleShop, I thought I'd give you all a pointer. On our website www.nippleshop.co.uk we have Morgan Greasing Kits, but if youre not sure what thread you need, we also sell thread gauges, which are a handy piece of kit. We will try & supply greasing kits to suit your Morgan, whatever year. Hope this helps Kind Regards Elaine Sales Engineer Harrison Lubrication Engineering Ltd Home of The NippleShop

Folks, I can assure you that these guys are some of the most helpful people I've come across when looking for bits - they were immediately ready to alter their kits to suit the requirements I had and also to put together a part category for these kits.
Hats off to them!! -- Again -- no connection, just a very satisfied customer (not even getting commission!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Cheers!

In an ideal world the grease nipple drilling would pass through the bush into the internal surface channel of the bush. But that's not how it's made. The lower nipple should really be half an inch lower, and the groove in the kinpin which is supplied from the top nipple should also be similarly lower. That would feed the grease into the bush channels. As it stands, if you have an upper nipple the grease will emerge just above the top bush, so on compression of the suspension, some will find it's way down the bush. Remember that the upper bush doesn't take much lateral force - being more of a fulcrum. You could use oil instead of grease, but I doubt it will make much difference. The lower nipple is the main one - being above the lower bush means that every time you add grease, it fills the space between the bushes, and will force upwards and downwards between the bushes & kingpin. This is clearly why it's located where it is, and why you can get by with one nipple per side. Grease it little & often and it will be fine. Don't overdo the top nipple - it will only fill the cavity inside the dust cover and make a real mess.

I don't know if MMC have modified the KP's but when I grease top nipple on 2010 Sport excess comes out under the steering bearing covers. The Castrol CL grease I am using at present is a lot less viscous than either moly or LM

No doubt it's different. My original 2005 pins were not drilled for a top nipple. The replacements were as described above. It's possible that applying pressure to the top nipple could squeeze grease from the cavity between the bushes at the steering bearing.

If I am reading gomog correctly the top nipple drilling extends down as far as the steering race
