Got some feedback from the owner

"in a previous life was MMC own car which they 'wrote off' after a journalist test drive! Purchased (less chassis) but with all parts, has been rebuilt by New Elms Morgan in Shaftesbury from new MMC parts and SVA'd as new registration, not listed as damaged and listed with no previous owners. All reciepts totalling over 35k (not including purchase price) photo evidence of build, just started a new company so my dream car has got to go! I have set the price to reflect the above, have chassis certificate from Morgan in order to keep the provenence of the show car"

That explains it then, if it was in a really bad accident they have done a really good job of returning it back to it's original state (Bar the Grill and Wheels).

Explains why engine shot doesn't look right! Still confused however as centre piece missing (the piece the bonnet pieces attach to) but wing in place???

Don't know whether it's just the photo or my eyes but the lights don't look right either? Look like series 2 lights? Though the rest of the front is S3. I just can't see the silver bits that hold the washer jets.

Does it have non xenon mini lights (as opposed to the Xenons on standard cars)?

I think it may just be the angle the photo is taken, there is a lot of exposure around the edge of the headlights. Maybe they are off an 02 Cooper S and not an 07. Can't really tell from the pictures.
