Hi ALL
I Have just purchased a car that has generated a lot of opinions on here. Its the aero 8 with the bmw v10 fitted with the aeromax looking body and yes i am a little bonkers
i am looking for parts, history and advise (scrap it is what i expect to here from the purists) but its pretty, Fast and the only way i can afford one

The reason I believe the car got a rough ride on here was the stupid price the vendor was asking for a non standard car.
Exactly. It'll be fantastic to see this unloved bitsa being turned into a proper Morgan Special, and with that V10 it should go like I don't know what! Welcome to TalkMorgan and we wish you all the best in your endeavours.

Start developing a relationship with the experts on the Aero 8 now.
Simon H makes many parts unobtainable elsewhere, the factory will have some spares (but these are likely to be for a standard car?) and start assembling as much information as you can about what must be replaced , what needs to be replaced, and what would be nice to replace.
Great that someone has taken this project on , I hope your budget will allow you to finish the project and get it back to full roadworthy order.

well done that man  You are correct - it did get some negative comments on here.  You are a brave soul to be tackling the re-commission - but I wish you well  There are some Aero S1 parts on offer in the for sale section which might be useful..... Whereabouts in Derby are you? Son and family are in Pilsley /Chatsworth; I'd love to see the car (when life gets back to normal....!!) James

What a great project. I saw the advert for your car and hoped that someone would take it on. It could be a fantastic car if done properly which no doubt you will do.
