To be fair the argument of "they all do that mate" could be applied if the screen/roof seals have not been maintained. Oh and around the door leading edge. Oh and bottoms. Oh and around the leading edge of the door front screens. Well you get the idea. Or if the screen was not fitted correctly.

The screen especially can lead to water getting in behind the dash which is what could flag up like this I guess. As S2/America only has a seal across the top and bottom so this is an issue. Unless the owner left it by edge of a river or in a puddle overnight?

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Wow those VW kombis amaze me with what they fetch now, I got one of those multi window ones not long after leaving school for $200.00 NZ which is somewhere short of 100 pounds . It could hardly get up steep hills except in first with its wheezing 1200 cc .
Still I see a few restorers here specialising in them and even a Morgan dealer in the UK has done some, one of my nieces had three split screen ones as wedding cars, so they do appeal widely. The most amazing collection I stumbled across was about 10 years ago at a surf carnival -Manly beach Sydney superb Restos with all period accessories.

Looks like a good honest example of a Morgan Plus 4.
Lets see how it goes at auction...

I found it interesting to read the comments on the 59+4, that section seems to attract "educated" Morgan comment, kinda like a discussion group as opposed to an auction site..? (-:

I note it has a TR engine which attracted interest. No more than a few months ago while once again trying to clear out my garage I gave a Morgan engine (ME engine number) and some All-Fin brake drums to a pal of mine who likes to mess around on eBay, I think he had little interest other than the sort of comment similar to that which appeared on the 59+4 thread... I think the engine ended up being scrapped... I guess those that value our old cars and related junk, are becoming fewer by the day....?

Dead right Luddite, the commentary in a BaT auction is usually well informed and interesting.
So not only do you get to find our what the real market value is you hear what the market thinks....
