For those of you not on the island, SORN = Statutory Off Road Notification. A scheme to avoid taxes and insurance by not driving.

We are allowed out of the house to exercise- single seating in a Morgan must be adhering to the 2m rule? Are we not allowed to “ drive” vs “ travel”? If I take the Morgan out for a spin I’m not actually “ travelling “ to anywhere? Dunno??? Then again, is it just socially unacceptable to be seen blatting about?

I said to the misses this morning. If we take the Mog out and stuff the back with shopping bags we can say we are off to the store if we get stopped. Trouble is we live Nr Dorking and would probably get stopped along the coast or something haha

As the police get drawn into enforcing the lockdown, they will find themselves challenging members of the public as to why they are not at home, as required. People out and about just going for a jolly in their cars would add to their workload. I know there has been some amusement at Macron's requirement for citizens to fill in and sign a certificate explaining why they out and about as the French love of paperwork gone mad, but the point of it is to make people sit down and reflect before they leave the house as to why they are ignoring the curfew.

I think on balance I agree with Hamwich. I’ll leave it in the garage- but mainly at the moment because I think it’s the sociably acceptable thing to do- as is leaving money with an already stretched government.

Just remembered another. I have Sky Sports and have accepted the offer by Sky to suspend the monthly cost. Thanks for the tip about Sky Sports. I hadn't received anything from Sky but have found it on their website.
