Hi to all! Thank you for your nice comments, tipps, informations and thougths!  It will take some time to install Rogers bump stops and do some test drives (with my wife). So better weather would be nice  After every testdrive the tooltray has to be taken out of the car. I don't want to appear skeptical, I just want to prepare the conversion! I am very optimistic about the result after installation! I will inform you like the others here! Again: Thank you!

bmgermany. When I fitted Rogers bump stops. I drove the car without the tool tray or carpet or shelf. Allowed me to stop adjust stop adjust etc. I then drove around with just the shelf fitted until i was happy with the adjustment. Then cut a small block of wood to size so in the future could quickly put the stops in without the hassle.
If you do drive the car with the tool tray & shelf out, be prepared for a fair amount of noise and some sounds you will have never heard before.

Fitted a pair of Roger's Bump Stops today.
Although yet to road test, I have to say I am delighted with the quality of engineering that has been applied in the construction of these items.
Instead of a cheap and cheerful fillet weld, the stiffener plates transmit the vertical and lateral shear loads through a mortice and tenon type joint between the anchor plate and the bump stop mounting plate. This is then fixed with light weld on both sides for security. Altogether well thought through, with ample slots for alignment of both the bracket itself and the bump rubber.
I assembled layers of timber to a thickness of 32mm and placed this on the leaf springs for initial height setting of the bump rubber.
It was necessary to unbolt the handbrake cable fixing block to gain access. Fitted Nyloc M8 nuts to the U-bolts and Nyloc M12 nuts at the top of the bump stop hangers.

Fitted Rogers bump stops some weeks ago.
First test drive with my wife today.
No Problems, no bumping.

Rog,
First drive out today with the bump stops fitted.
Drove over the huge tank traps in Sonning-on-Thames and then what passes nowadays for roads in South Oxfordshire.
Wow, what a difference! Unbelievable improvement to the ride. No banging or bottoming out.
A brilliant piece of engineering.
