Dear all, a couple people I know, who are interested in buying an Aero 8 S1, have asked what the value of this particular model is. I wanted to refer to dealers and others who might have one for sale (mine is not), but my search came back with an empty set. The only ones I saw were on mobile.de and they seemed rather expensive.

So, I have two questions:

1. Would anyone know of good S1 for sale?
2. What is the UK price range? (of course difficult to evaluate with so few for sale...)

Many thanks,

Phil, prices seem to vary quite greatly on the S1 and dealer or private sale, colour, mileage and condition all seem to be factors that effect price. Lowest I've seen in the past 12 months was low £30,000 and the highest £40,000.

It is quite a wide spread but anyone who looks at a few S1s will soon seen the variation in quality and reason for pricing.

The car at Techniques should be a good one (I don't know it, so may be incorrect); however, they do know how to prepare a Morgan.

The C4 OGS car looks familiar and may be owned by someone on this site but I cannot recall exactly why I know it.

The black car is unknown to me and this site.

Don't forget about the "Seriously Simmonds" Aero Mk1 2003.

This will set you apart and set you back 50k. I see it's still for sale and still crosseyed.

^not seen that nonsense before for pity's sake no!

C4 OGS car is owned by a charming Italien chap with plenty of interesting cars. I heard from Marco that he's going on the Aero Massignac trip so will find out since could not resist. Last year he loved it and specifically wanted a S1 so doubt it.
Pricewise i think Simon is spot on. I would let my S1 go for the right price and if i lost my garage but what to replace it with? I've driven the S4 and prefer the S1.

Given that Simmonds do some very nice work, it is surprising to see how badly they can butcher an Aero 8. The "Seriously Simmonds'd" strap line also needs some thought. In this instance the audience could infer that it doesn't mean a change for the better.
