Hell, no, I think in terms of looks - and indeed concept, the Aero is a stunning car and 'iconic' is a word which isn't out of place.

As Brian says, I DO have build quality issues but that's as much because I find it annoying that such a great concept can be let down by this aspect as anything else.

I'm also prepared to accept that I'm being a bit OCD about this.

Mind you, I take your point about clubs. What did Groucho Marks say? something along the lines of " I wouldn't want to be a member of any club which allowed me to join"!

Enjoy the Aero

best wishes,
G

Hi Aeroman,
Yes I did buy Phil's car but I haven't picked it up yet due to registration delays - next week I hope.
All the best

I've had a lot of pleasure over the years from the TVRCC, MGOC, MGCC and MSCC. The benefits have easily outweighed the negatives, but in each case except the TVRCC I've put far more in than I've taken out. laugh2

I think there may be quality issues but I'm hoping that someone else's 30,000 miles will have sorted a few of the problems with my S1. After a Roadster I'm in a different place, I'm expecting some roof leaks, some driveline shunt, but will the value ever drop below £30k, no I don't think so. I think like the Plus 8's we'll see a move towards 40k for this iconic classic.

Great discusion whether its Morgan's or Harley's or when I used to own TR7 and then an 8 .The same discussion happened then within the TR clubs about it not being a real TR, maybe it was maybe it wasnt I still enjoyed being in a British sports car having a great time.
