Originally, wood screws did all of the hinge retaining/locating on my car, '69 4/4.
After experiencing the futility of having to re-tighten them at intervals,
I did what most others have done. Removed the wood screws, drilled a through-hole and used appropriately-sized
flat-head machine screws - nuts - washers/backing plates. Seems as though your car might have already had some of the
hinge-fixing hardware replaced.

Phil, Your car will have nuts on the back of the screws. You can normally nip up the ones on the door, without taking the door card off. The ones on the A post, go through the scuttle roll bar and have nuts behind. If possible hold the Allen key in the heads and tighten the nuts. Even half a turn on a few of them will make a big difference. You might need hinges in a few years but this should sort it for now. I saw your car recently and your wood work was fine 😉

I think I have a pair of HOE hinge pins unused somewhere, but I’m in Scotland and they are in my garage in London. Worth trying a few of the dealers that are open they might have them, BHM, Rutter etc...
