I'd agree whole- heartedly.
In any list of 'best sounds you've ever heard' must be a 'Vette short- shifting up the Mulsanne during LM 24 night driving

It's the physicality of the noise that always shocks me when I go and watch GT racing; the bass from it really resonates. Brilliant.

I knew the BRM had won something, but couldn't remember what! After a quick Google, I came up with this - 1953 Albi Grand Prix: Heat 1 Fangio 1st Wharton 2nd Gonzalez 5thFinal Gonzalez 2nd Fangio Retired Wharton Retired Still think that for me the BRM has the most evocative engine sound... B
