I suppose it depends what you use Facebook for. I use it to keep in touch with mates all over the country/world (great at the moment, as we can't meet up in person) and to organise gatherings/meet ups (so much easier than in the good old days before t'interweb).

Oh, and to get advice on how to fix my Morgan.

I don't use it to get any news/information, and block the feeds of people who constantly use it to promote any form of political agenda (whether I agree with it or not).

I think Facebook has a much older demographic these days - very few of my school kids use it, they're all in instasnappychat.

I have (sort of) good news for you Bonsie. They shot themselves in the foot with a change to the process some time back. They wanted to fit more advertising in so reduced the number of real people you have actually interacted with as well as puppies and cats. It had the desired effect, even less value and content of value.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I've stayed on FB mostly for the Groups I'm in where you can get some great advice and keep up to date with things. Well run groups are a real bonus. I also use it to keep in touch and have met up with old friends and maintained countless good relationships with people. You can scroll past anything you don't like and can easily filter out and block the idiots. I find it a useful resource.

I also need to stay on as we have a Facebook page for the band I'm in.

The Morgan groups are very active and helpful I enjoy the interaction with our overseas cousins and love their innovative approach to problems. Four of our close family are on there and I have met 10 Polish relatives on there that I was not aware of on my late Fathers side. Some old school pals and college people so it’s all positive for me.

Like any media if you don’t want to watch pictures of someone’s dinner or recipes just give them a swerve it has to be judged as a whole I think and like here you can block anything you don’t like.

They do, though, Tim. And it causes untold damage. WHO now lists vaccine hesitancy in its top ten of health risks. Social media has been very slow to remove disinformation purveyors like Icke. Hopefully this will be a growing movement (although when I read some of the comments posted about Covid19 I fear for the future of humanity.
