- welcome neighbour thumbs !!

Great news that you have your Morgan - sorry you have not got to drive it yet; that is some dilemma swear

I'm 'up the road' in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne - maybe see you around sometime....?

(I have a Series 1, Aero 8 )

Welcome from Devon! my +8 was at Beamish Morgan when it chose me to look after it - it had originally been sold new by Beamish Morgan's predecessor company and its first owner always drove down from Edinburgh to have it serviced and upgraded by them till I brought it to Devon. Good bunch of people at Beamish Morgan - very helpful with the few minor issues I had with it.

Good morning from round the corner I also live in Durham . Had the Mog since the mid 80s just completed the chassis last week with a special black paint I got off a ex mog pal we did each other good turns now have a pair of jeans with black paint marks and getting it in the neck off SWMBO . in several car clubs one meets up at Witton Gilbert

Keep your foot off the pedal . I came out of Beamish mogs last year after a service and took it on the Durham to Sunderland road . They have a speed camera on the left side going up Houghton gap bank .

Hi, Welcome from sunny (But not today) Pembrokeshire. My story parallels your own with my venture into Morgan ownership this year and not being able to get out in it. However, I have managed to do the following so far: Leather Bonnet Strap & Corner Protectors, Wolf Bonnet Stays, Leather Neck Rolls, Williams Stainless Coolant Header Tank & Cap, Librands 6" Stainless Front Spot Lights & Wing Brackets, Wing Side Lights, Powder Coated Black Mesh Grill and Shortened Badge Bar, Stainless Warning Light Bezels and possibly the most challenging, fitting a Blaupunkt SQR46 Stereo with Pioneer Speakers and trad Morgan Radio Aerial!!
Still to come; replace the clock, aluminium upgraded radiator, short front splitter (Williams) Paint Brake Callipers.
Stay safe and hope you can get out driving your Mog soon.

A very warm welcome to TM. Once the current restrictions end you have some superb roads on which to get to know your new P&J.

It seems that Wiltshire Police are taking a rather relaxed view of what is, or is not, essential driving.
I haven't seen a Police car other than the odd Panda car in Salisbury, since this all started.
But that is normal, since Salisbury Police Station was closed a few years ago the policing of South Wiltshire seems to have vapourised.

Possibly one reason is that there are just 24 Traffic Officers to cover 1350 sq miles and thousands of miles of rural roads. There were close to 200 in 1999.
Earlier this year the Police said that they had given up preventative policing of the roads, they can only respond to serious incidents.
