Hi Bruce,
The removable terminal nuts loosen just after a few drives. I use a drop of loctite to hold the plug terminals in place. Never had a problem since.

Hi Bruce,
The removable terminal nuts loosen just after a few drives. I use a drop of loctite to hold the plug terminals in place. Never had a problem since. I did that after finding they were loose, where would we be without loctite!!

Sounds like an ample amount of blue loctite should always be kept on hand.

https://www.emcstandards.co.uk/never-use-liquid-threadlockers-on-any-electricaI’ve linked an article regarding the use of liquid threadblockers on electrical connections. Just be aware Loctite is an insulator not a conductor of electricity. Theoretically you might be diminishing your spark.

Why go through all that fuss? Just use a spark plug with a non removable terminal nut like the equivalent HD plug noted earlier in this thread.

I put a wee dab of Blue Loctite on the top of each plug just to be sure the roughness I was getting was at lower RPM. It did not help but it still ran fine at the higher rpms so I thought about fuel distribution and that lead me to the idea of a fuel system that distributes fuel to sack injector equally. Morgan Custom has such a product and it has the benefit of a fuel pressure regulator and a fuel filter BEFORE THE INJECTORS. Boy does it run more smoothly at the lower RPM!!!
