Does anyone have any ideas about producing a hardtop for a 4/4 or know where I could get one
Melvyn Rutter has sold his moulds and no longer offers them
I need one as i have two medical conditions and the drugs make me VERY sun sensitive
I'm not getting rid of my Morgan
I'm 6 foot 1 and my head hits the soft top bows!

Maybe a call to the factory would be a good place to start.

Could you fit a 4 seater screen ? It is slightly higher.

Bill,

MMC have developed a new hardtop for the Plus 4 SS. I believe the intention is to offer this hardtop as an aftermarket purchase; therefore, it might be a good idea to speak with Aero Racing or MMC.

Best regards

Simon

Seeing you have a 1985 morgan, I am not sure that there was ever one made however you could try http://www.honeybournemouldings.co.uk/ they make fibreglass hardtops in the UK so they may make you one as a trial product... they did for me a long long time ago when I had a Triumph Vitesse

If you can't get a hardtop, could you get a custom soft top made, perhaps by Steve Simmonds? From the website it looks as if they can make all sorts of things, perhaps a hood with bigger hoops, coupled with a higher screen as suggested, would give more headroom, and also possibly lower the seats a bit on the runners?

I have an '86 4/4, I'm 6' 2" and easily clear the soft top. Is your seat on wooden blocks that could be lowered?

Bill,
I'm 6'3" and not very sylph-like. I was looking at ways of solving the headroom problem on my 2000 4/4 ( wind was playing hell with my contact lenses) and my first thought was the four seater screen.

In the end, I settled for taking out the spacing blocks under the seats. THis means that my head is now below the top screen rail

G,
Knowing your sylph-like frame, I hope you have some form of strengthening bars underneath the floor between the cross-rails!!!!!!!!!

Cheers!
