I am planning to install Garage 56 Stage 1 kit which I received a couple of days ago. Since G56 did not have the Air-Intake in stock, I purchased the version of the kit without it. A few questions:
1. I think I am going to purchase the S&S alternative air intake kit Part number 170-0200 and the cover 170-0120. Are these the correct parts to get?
2. I get some mixed impressions from what I have read on the forum about installing the G56 stage 1 kit. Some say it is totally compatible with the stock ECU whereas some think it might not be compatible with ECU on USA spec 3-wheelers. I want to make sure that if I install the kit its not going to throw some fault codes. Does anyone know this for sure?
3. Any other tips/tricks/steps that might be helpful before/during/after installation?
Thanks for your advice and guidance!

cannot answer your question. But my check engine light has been on for about 6,000 miles... my odometer is also at about 6,000 miles

As there is no comprehensive info available about the ECU 'tunes' provided from the factory since production began, I don't imagine anyone can know for sure what your experience with Stage 1 will be regarding fault codes.
My 2012 machine came to me (used) with Stage 1 installed and the standard ECU. Never had a fault code. I later added an unlocked ECU and spent some time merging adaptive maps with the base maps which further smoothed out the engine operation, especially at lower rpms. Still no fault codes.
YMMV, as the saying goes.

Thanks, Steve. I hope my experience is similar to yours. Fingers crossed for no fault codes.

I would suggest downloading the s&s protune software. Worth seeing what your ecu is doing. If I understand how the ecu works it will auto tune to a point creating an adaptive map and you can see if you are out of parameter/at the top end of the adjustment range. With a locked ECU you can’t do a map merge with the adaptive map so the adaptive map runs out of room. While you could have a check engine light I doubt that you will have a real issue. Also do yourself a favor drive your Morgan at night to see if your header pipe glows at all. Nice to have a before and after. Personally I prefer the look of the S&S air filter set up. This is what the factory uses in chrome for stage 1 however there are a bunch of options. https://www.sscycle.com/products/mu...ers-chrome-or-engraved-logo-gloss-black/

Thanks, 2Sharp.
Looks like Protune II is a Windows only software. I'll have to find one of my old laptops to install it. I have only driven my M3W about 125 miles so far, most of those miles at night actually. I did not see anything glowing. But perhaps I wasn't looking if anything was glowing. Glad to hear that you prefer the S&S air filter setup.

My 2019 arrived and within a month I installed the AR Stage 1 pipes and Stealth air cleaner. No ECU adjustment was necessary and it is essentially the same thing you will have, much more open pipes and an air cleaner with the Stinger in the venturi of a more open air cleaner.
I have been told by someone who did it that installing the Stage 2 cams will not upset the ECU either! Amazing. Pretty tolerable ECU.
2019 M3W Sold and is now in Las Vegas enjoying the showgirls :-)

Thanks for the info on the parts, Javier. It confirms that my parts info was not wrong. Much appreciated!
