As i am in splendid isolation (shielding for my daughter) i thought i should reverse the Morgan out of the garage for a wash.
I noticed the reversing light fitting was loose.
On closer inspection i found some corrosion in the holder.
I am struggling to find a replacement.

Can anyone confirm the unit i need is a Lucas L795.
I can't find one on the net.
Has it been superceded by a different unit?

Many thanks

Paul

Paul, is it a sort of separate square thing bracketed to the bumper ?

If so, I have a spare (was from a 2004 Roadster - but removed at only 1yr old & carefully stored)

If it's the big round lens on the black rubber mounting, fitted to over rider cars, it's a 795. But note that the two visible fasteners are just pushed in blind rivets to fill the holes.

The lens is attached to a coarse threaded fitting using clear silicone sealant.

The fitting unscrews but go under the spare wheel first to disconnect the wiring.

Hi Paul. Are they the big bazooka type lights that stick out the back? I had trouble with those lamp holders always coming loose. I got shot of them in the end, see this old post. If they are “I think” those Morgan hybrid lights might use screw fitting lamp holders from military LR’s type Lucas 576207. I don’t know for sure as I never did ever buy replacements for mine after the mod.

Good luck tracking them down.

The fitting is exactly as described by Dave W.
The lenses on my car are OK.
The bulb holder is where the corrosion is.

I'll send an email to Holdens as the part number is not coming up in the catalogue.

Thanks for the input chaps
